January Meeting will be on the 11th. this will be a business meeting, Place New China 1 pm., also here will be discussion on the DMR repeater that Joe is building and what will be going on with it. This Repeater will not be owned or operated by the club it will be owned and operated by Joe W6AUS. If materials arrive before January 11th we will be learning some of the basics of tuning a notch duplexer.
Joe has ordered a nanovna and a usb simple spectrum analyzer to use more discussion on that at the meeting. Also will be discussing Winter Field day and possible locations to setup.

we will be starting a new Amateur radio operator net in November to be held once a month on the second Tuesday of the month to get new Amateur radio operators training as net control operators and to also welcome new hams to the area.
The frequency will be 147.300 + tone of 103.5 will be starting the net at around 8 p.m. and will go till for at least till 9 p.m. to help those that wanna learn.Read More

181/main street by bealls in shopping center. sears, sutherlunds is right next to the strip mall. if you come in 59 lets say take right at court house go down thru town on left you will see the strip mall there. kinda in the middle of the shopping center not a mall.
From Portland take 181 Bypass go to 351 (next exit after us59) Come into town from there. pass walmarts and such and take a left on St.Marys. You can probably see the strip mall om right. go past sutherlunds on right you see strip mall and such it is in there next to sears.

Kicked off Field Day 2019 with an intro and instruction by Jim Bomer.
Basic operations of the 2 station radios and the bands that they are set on. Then the point system and different types of modes.
At 1:00 PM
Started contesting with Vernon and Joe Rugar on the 40 meter band, and Joe Wofford on the 20 meter station. Attendees swapped out as operator and logger from time to time.
At 2:00 pm Jim Bomer presented a demonstration of proper grounding for ham shacks, equipment to single common grounding including the shack/residence with all components properly grounded together to help prevent damage during lighting hits.
At 3:30 Pm members started parting.
